From the eerie mists of the Blue Mountains, Australia - CARMERIA combine the haunting
sounds of dark symphonic metal with the lovelorn energy of gothic rock. Since reforming
with a new line-up in 2018, the band have been on a momentous warpath through the
Australian music scene. Their debut album Advenae (2021) saw the 4-piece garner
international acclaim, with several reputable music outlets touting the band as one of the
up-and-coming metal acts to watch out for this decade. The summer of 2021/2022 saw the
group embark on their first nation-wide tour, culminating in a sold out show in their
hometown capital, Sydney.
Following on from the success of Advenae, the band began planning their sophomore
venture. The following years saw the ensemble write and record the music for their 2nd
opus, titled Tragédie D'amour, with the band’s singer/songwriter Jordan von Grae taking on
production duties. Tragédie D'amour was released on the 23rd of August, 2024 and received
international praise, with several publications commending the band on the evolution of
their songwriting and glossy production. In support of the new album, the 4-piece set of on
a successful 3 date album tour through November of the same year. Audiences and music
critics noted the band’s entertaining theatricality throughout the tour, taking to social media
to applaud the bands live show in the wake of their performances.
In the months following the release of their 2nd album, CARMERIA put together a 3-track
acoustic EP, titled Trinity: Volume I. The EP consists of 3 songs, including a new original, an
acoustic rendition of one of the group’s previous releases, and a cover. It was produced, arranged and mixed by the groups’ singer/songwriter Jordan von Grae, and was released on the 14th of February, 2025. The EP was preceded by the new original track, Lost in the Snow, which was released on the 31st of January, 2025.
