April Art’s new album “Red” takes the band’s sound to a new level after their 2024 album “Rodeo.” Created throughout 2025, the album combines alternative rock, modern metal, and pop with powerful vocals, heavy guitars, and massive choruses. For the first time, the band worked with outside producers, gaining new perspectives and becoming more creative during the songwriting process. “Red” is more direct, energetic, and confident, reflecting the band’s identity as loud, rebellious, and nonconformist.
The album also focuses on themes such as self-confidence, empathy, tolerance, and standing up against prejudice and sexism. “Bulletproof,” described as the band’s new signature song, expresses resilience against haters, while “Big Bubble Bullshit” confronts patriarchy and sexism. “Panic Stations” and “Fall Into Pieces” offer a sense of safety and solidarity for people who feel like outsiders. With “Red,” April Art show that they have found their true identity and are ready to take their powerful, emotional rock music to an even bigger audience.
