The pioneers of gothic metal, known for their masterpiece "Draconian Times", Paradise Lost's 16th album "Obsidian", the band's first in almost 3 years, is complete! The band's original gothic flavor has been strengthened and a dark yet beautiful world has been constructed. This is a masterpiece of a return to their roots and evolution.

In 1986, in Halifax, West Yorkshire, northern England, Nick Holmes ( Paradise, formed by Greg McIntosh (vocals) and Greg McIntosh (guitar), and others. Lost. with their second album, Gothic (1991), released in 1991. Presenting the style of metal, they evolved into a melodious, melodic "Icon" (1993). and "Draconian Times" (1995), which made him a household name in Japan. .

After that, he moved away from the heavier style for a time, but "Symbol of Life" ( Since 2002), the band has returned to a style based on heavy guitar sounds and powerful beats. with each album, and their last album, "Medusa", was a middle/slow The band has gone deeper than ever into the heavy and dark world with their tempo songs. With this album, they presented a style that has elements of death metal and doom in it, and it's been almost three years since they released Obsidian" was released at the time of its release in 2001.

This film is a continuation of "Medusa", but also has a strong Gothic taste. The songs are lined with beauty in their sound. Nick's emotional songs are also worth listening to, some of which include "Icon" and Some of the songs are reminiscent of the Draconian Times era. All of the songs are massive yet sophisticated, It's as if Paradise Lost has been updated to a more modern style while maintaining its original charm. I'd say it's a work of art.
