If you're an experienced slash fan, you should know the name of Iron Angel. Born and formed in Germany in 1983, after they released several demos, they debut with the album Hellish Crossfire" in 1985. This work is a masterpiece of speed/slash metal, and you can feel the scent of German metal, so there are many fans here in Japan as well. There is even a young slash band in Germany that bears the title of this album. The following year in 1986, they released the second album "Winds of War". You may remember that this work became a hot topic with Ritchie Blackmore's son, Jurgen Blackmores participation as a guest. However, immediately after releasing this work, the band disbanded.

The late 90's when many slash metal bands returned to the scene. Iron Angel was reunited in 1997 without exception. Although they continued their activities for 10 years, they cant found a convincing member, so at this time they disbanded again in 2007 without making new work.

They returned to the scene in 2015. In this reunion, that has done many tours and announced a new work in 2018 after 32 years. It pleased the earlier fans.

They also held the first miracle Japan live in 2019.

And this time, the 4th new album "Emerald Eyes" will be released. This work, which they describe as "a work that fuses the past and the present and looks to the future," is clearly conscious of "Hellish Crossfire." Unfortunately, the two guitarists who played in the masterpiece "Hellish Crossfire" have already passed away, and the original member is currently only vocalist, Dark Schr der. However, it is also true that where Dark sings, where comes the Iron Angel. Speedy and slush, but moderately melodic. As usual, listening to this work, which has a German scent like before, makes you feel as if you had traveled back in time 30 years ago. It's an energetic work that I would like fans who know them from the past and young slashers to listen to.

The Japanese edition includes a bonus track "Dark Sorcery".
