In January 2018, the heavy metal world was shocked. Slayer announced that they would be touring Fairwell, meaning they would be retiring from active duty. Indeed, the signs had been there for some time. The frontman underwent neck surgery and was no longer able to do intense headbanging. Tom Araya even hinted at retirement. It's not just his neck that's the problem. Since his debut, Tom Araya, Kelly King, Jeff Hannemann, and Dave Lombard, the The Slayer had been an ironclad quartet, but Dave left the band in February of '13. (This was already the third time, though.) Then, on May 2 of that year, tragedy struck when Jeff passed away at the age of only 49, and It was. Many bands have been born and disbanded. However, I have never heard of a thrash metal band announcing their retirement until now. It was. And this was the announcement of the retirement of a slayer who had been at the top for 40 years. It's hard not to be surprised.

The Fairwell Tour began in May of '18 with Lamb of God, Anthrax, Behemoth The tour kicked off with a North American tour with Testament, and in March 2007, the band was announced as Download Japan It came to Tom's final speech, which many fans must have been thrilled with. The tour is scheduled to end at the end of November. Will Slayer be retired from the tour

There have been rumors in recent years that a live performance of Slayer is included in the album, and that it will eventually be released. It was. The 17-year Repentless North American tour, which preceded the Fairwell tour, was the first of the "Repentless Behemoth, who also served as support. Its leader, Nergal, broke the news on social media that the Slayer was doing a video shoot and The reason for this is because it was done. And now, at last, the full story has been revealed.

The film, titled "The Repentless Kirology", contains a story of August 5, 2005, in which Los Angeles The entire performance at The Forum in Inglewood is recorded in its entirety. The members of the band are Gary Holt and Paul Bostaph, in addition to Tom Araya and Kelly King. Hell Awaits, Angel of Death, Dead Skin Mask, and The band's more than 35 years of experience, including the title track of their latest studio album, Repentless At the Japan concert in March, the band performed It's also nice to see the inclusion of the eternal classic Antichrist, which was never played. Needless to say, Los Angeles is Slayer's hometown, where this album was recorded. The audience's enthusiasm was no surprise.

This is likely to be Slayer's last film. (At least Gary Holt said, "Slayer will never put out a new album. statement.) This isn't just a story of one band ceasing to operate. The end of Slayer is the end of an era. Their suspension is a major shift in the world of extreme metal, and by extension, heavy metal. There is no doubt that it will bring This film is a documentary about the end of a big story, a permanent edition. If you're a fan of heavy metal, you have to see this film.
